Emily is an award winning, highly creative and technical Shooting Producer/Director with 15 years industry experience, including 5 years at the BBC and multiple documentary credits.
Emily has just delivered ARTMaster Live - a brand new, enormously successful, live comedy game show, fronted by Alex Horne from Taskmaster. Emily developed & directed this new spin on the Ch4 show, creating a fresh format, challenges & celebrity-led task VTs, for a pilot & sell-out live show. In 2019, Emily was a finalist for The Funny Women Awards & was long listed in 2022. Her comedy shorts, Paper Trail & Tea Time, have won multiple awards. Experienced in shooting, directing and shaping whole series, Emily crafts killer narratives, from pre-production through to the edit. Emily is BBC trained and well travelled, with finely tuned editorial instincts and plenty of visual flair. She is able to tease out maximum drama, humour and jeopardy in every scene. Emily enjoys working across a variety of genres; from art, comedy, property and consumer, to human interest, obs docs, holiday shows, formats and blue light shows. With 2 parents in the emergency services (Police & NHS), Emily's unique background gives her an advantage when filming with police, doctors, midwives, patients and paramedics. Her experience includes following character-led storylines as they develop, maintaining relationships over long periods & navigating complex access & immersive filming with vulnerable contributors.
